Women's Retreat.jpg

Our retreat is just around the corner, and we are excited for what God has in store for us! God has been showing us the incredible value He puts on us as women…how much He delights in us and the way He has fashioned us. We are learning together what it means to respond to Him…to receive our identity from Him, to be empowered with His love, to make an impact in the world around us. This is such an exciting time to be part of OLCC and we want you to know YOU are a significant part of the reason! What God is doing in our midst is for each of us, together. So come…it won’t be the same without you!

Our retreat will provide plenty of opportunity to relax, connect, and feel at home with each other and with God. We will have times of worship, teaching, and breakout sessions - hearing from different women in our body and plenty of time to respond to God in our midst. We know He wants to meet with us, so we are responding to his invitation. And we are inviting you to do the same. Take time this summer to join us as we come together…toward his heart, leaning in and actively engaging in His invitation of presence. Come, lean in with us and be amazed at what God does!

Cost: $40

You can pay online or select the "Pay Later" option on the registration, or pay at the door. However, there are scholarships so please don’t let cost be a hindrance! Contact Jennifer Milner at jmilner@olcc.org.

About the Sessions:

"Connected Creatives" - Katherine Sanders

"I am the vine, you are the branches he that abides in me will bear much fruit." John 15:5

Creativity is our nature because it is God’s nature!  We will be discovering, exploring, developing and releasing the creative fruit developed from connection with God in this session. Each participant will practice connected creativity with several mediums, and learn to express messages of hope through the visual arts. Beginners are welcome.

"Hearing God's Voice: Dreams" - Tanya McHenry

God speaks to us in different ways and dreams are one of them.  The bible has many examples where God spoke to His sons and daughters through dreams.  This session will be a great step in growing in discernment and desire for recognizing God's voice as you sleep! Join us as we go through some basic tools to help you hear more clearly what the Lord might be saying through your dreams.

"Delighting in God through Dance" - Bethany Kilman
Psalm 149:3-4
“Let them praise His name with dancing...for the Lord takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with salvation.”
God loves extravagant worship that is expressed with our entire being! We will look together at the ways dance is seen in scripture as an expression of our joy, adoration, and our salvation. I will share my personal journey of encountering God through dance and, finally, we will practice together in fun and freedom in God’s presence.

"Soaking" - Kelli Glass
Soaking…what is it? Simply abiding! Sometimes words like encounter or soaking can have negative connotations for us, but really to encounter is “to meet face to face with” and soaking implies “being saturated”. In this session, we will practice abiding with the Trinity and letting His words saturate us. Jesus modeled this lifestyle of regularly getting alone to hear what the Father was doing, because as Isaiah says, Hearing God’s voice is literally what makes our souls live!

"Friendship with God" - Connie Willems

Lots of us like the sound of being God’s friend in normal life, but we often don’t know how to go about doing it. In this session, we’ll practice some simple steps that can take us into friendship with God. After all, He is “Immanuel—God with us.” And His companionship, conversation, humor, challenge, parenting, encouragement, creativity, and just plain life make all the difference in our daily lives. So come join in with a group of other women and let’s see, together, how God wants to connect and talk with us.

"Adventures in the Word with the Holy Spirit" - Anne Blasdel

Come and enjoy growing in your intimacy with God,  as we journey into His Word with the Holy Spirit as our friend and teacher.  Through engaging His Word with Him, you will begin to develop a personal treasure trove of intimate moments, deep wisdom, and greater understanding of our wondrous God that will not only enlarge your walk with Him but will also become treasure to impart to others.

Empowered and Released: to the Streets - Kay Davis

Praying in the community is a lot like the experience of getting the courage to jump off a high dive as a kid.  As you surfaced, you realized that you lived through it and there was a joy that bubbled up for doing it again.  As we pray for people on the streets, you will see people from all walks of life have an encounter with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit. In this session, you will be envisioned with testimonies from experiences in our city, equipped and invited to go out for an encounter on the streets. Come take the plunge and be refreshed!
