CHARLOTTE FOREMAN

Church Administrator

Who are you?
I am first a follower of Jesus Christ and I am privileged to be a wife and mother. Every day I search for ways to show God’s love through the details of my work and the personal relationships developed over the years of my life.

Family
My husband, Bob, is the love of my life for 41 years, followed by my two sons Matt and Nate. I am the oldest sibling of two brothers and one sister with parents who have been married 66 years. We have lived in Edmond for 33 years in the same house!!!

What brought you to OLCC?
We came to OLCC in the fall of 1977 following an invite from my father who as an RCA pastor knew about a new church startup in OKC. The first service we attended was communion…and it spoke to our souls….we never went anywhere else!!!

Passion in life?
My passion in life is organization and communication. I live and breathe for planning and putting the pieces of a puzzle together. I’ve been doing this at Our Lord’s as an Administrator since 1991 and I am the family organizer of parties, receptions and gatherings of all kinds. My other passion is telling stories through pictures, poems and reflections. I am probably considered the historian of our family and of the church.

Favorite Books?
My choice of books is usually books of encouragement, devotion or how to organize things. I have recently enjoyed “Signs of Life” by David Jeremiah and “Missional Renaissance” by Reggie McNeal.

Best Experience?
The best time of my life was when my children were placed in my arms as babies following their flights to the USA from Korea. And the next best was seeing each of them graduate and find their life work – Matt as a chef and Nate in Physical Therapy.

My hero
My hero is my husband….level headed, good listener, and a visionary. He does not compromise his values and he is always an encourager.

Favorite Scripture
“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize fir which God has called me heaven word in Christ Jesus,” {Phil 3:12-14 and Romans 5:1-5)

CAROLYN MCHENRY

Administrative Assistant

Who are you?
I am an organizer and declutterer. I can actually see people’s spirits lift after I have helped them declutter their spaces, I believe there is something very spiritual about getting and keeping our lives simple! I love spending time with friends and family, of course in a simple way!!!

Family:
I have been married to my husband Danny for 40 years, and we have three daughters, two son-in-laws and two grandchildren.

Ministry experience/passion:
My passion is to see the children of God minister to the hurting people outside the walls of the church, to see the bride shine brightly for Jesus in the midst of a world that needs to know that there is a God who is bigger than us and cares deeply about each of us and for them to experience a personnel relationship with Him.

What brought you to OLCC?
Danny and I came to OLCC because we knew Roc and Bev and we believe they are solid leaders who live what they teach. They believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives on a daily basis. So we decided to check out OLCC, I had heard of OLCC but didn’t know what Reformed Church of America was all about, so we checked out their beliefs on their website and decided to visit. We found the people really cared about each other and you could feel that in the atmosphere.

I really don’t have a favorite, there are just too many that have brought hope in my life at the right time!! I like timely verses that speak to me during the different seasons of my life!
