D Groups

Discipleship Groups OR "D Groups"

D Groups are groups of 2-6 men or women committed to growing in relationship with God through the Word, prayer and honesty. They typically meet weekly and last 1-1.5 hours. Many of our Community Groups have D Groups "embedded" in them.

What happens?

UP - relationship with God - D Groups read through a chapter of the Bible asking the question, "What is God saying to me through this?" The group will journal and discuss what they're hearing from God.

IN- relationships with other believers - D Groups spend time discussing life questions regarding how we are "putting into practice" the values of Jesus when it comes to money, time, forgiveness, marriage, friendships, etc.

OUT - relationships with those who need Jesus - D Groups encourage each other to engage the world around us with God's love through praying for people, sharing our faith, serving the poor or otherwise.

We are on a journey together following Jesus. He is calling to each of us, "Come follow me". D Groups are the support we need to get started and keep going.
